The smoke slowly parting, the multifaced musical shapeshifter Basello’s packed Lost Shapes EP is coming on highly creative – and – deeply diverse.

Starting out with the emotive melodic groover of “Fight”, Basello wedds his juicy beat of cool with passionately yearning vocals growing into a tasteful mellow euphoria. Laying the perfect opener for this magic “Lost Shapes” ep, “Fight” is promptly followed by a Heerhorst remix, showcasing the waterkant-otaku’s trademark style of kicking spicy sweetness.

Teaming up in “Basello & Devy – Needing Me Now” the duo delivers even another tastefully arranged deepster with haunting male vocals cushioned in mellow, adult deeptech-cool, taking Cirque Du Son’s fourtyfirst release to yet another level. 

Summoning scenes of orange red sunsets, warm sand and mellow ocean waves on bare feet, the release continues with faint yet vivid memories of cafés on balearic beaches flickering before the inner ears – “Basello – Krilia” is pure timeless nostalgitronica already rounding off CIRQ041 as a fantastically cohesive, yet diversely musical melodic house ep.  

Have we said diverse ? Yes ! Disrupting, as well as surprisingly perfecting the release at the same time, the mesmerising gritty tongue-in-cheek electropop tech-tune “Red Light, Green Light” comes in both a “radio mix”, as well as an “extended mix” for additional quirkyness – a big grinner 🙂
